I cannot recommend Angelica enough and/or doula services in general. It was such an integral part of this birth and supported such great empowerment, strength and transformation.

support along your journey.

As a certified doula and birth photographer,  I am passionate about equipping  birthing people and their families with the tools they need to make the best choices for themselves and their baby, all while capturing your precious moments along the way.

Your birth journey is your own and I will never tell you what to do. My goal is to make you feel supported, confident and prepared to rock your birth in your own way. I will be by your side to support your choices, amplify your voice and capture memories for you to cherish and look back on even when it begins to fade.

As a Doula Trainings International doula, I follow the Slow Doula Method. Which reminds me to think before I act, observe what’s happening around me and take stock in the energy that I bring to your space at all times. It is important to me to be an anchor for my families in one of their most vulnerable moments.

Your complimentary consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have about my offerings, doula care or photography.

Angelica provided numerous resources pre-delivery. However, what I found most helpful was her quiet support to myself and my partner during the delivery of our son.

I will provide non-judgmental, evidence-based information and compassionate care as you move through your pregnancy and the birth of your child.

your questions answered.

I happily support families in Northern NJ (Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Union Counties).  I also provide virtual doula services for those in other states.

As your doula I am just another part of your support team. I will not replace anyone on your support team because this is their moment as well. I will help your loved one to feel empowered to support you and play an active role in the journey. I’m their doula too!

I support ALL types of birth. It’s not my job to judge you, I believe every birthing person should have the support of a doula no matter where they choose to give birth.

Doulas are not medical professionals, and the following tasks are not performed by doulas:

  • They do not perform clinical tasks such as vaginal exams or fetal heart monitoring

  • They do not give medical advice or diagnose conditions

  • They do not make decisions for the client (medical or otherwise)

  • They do not pressure the birthing person into certain choices just because that’s what they prefer

  • They do not take over the role of the partner

  • They do not catch the baby

  • They do not change shifts (although some doulas may call in their back-up after 12-24 hours)
